Technological literacy is one type of literacy that I will be discussing and exploring in my first project. The article states that we have now evolved to depend on technology so much, that failure to educate and stay up-to-date on technological literacies will impair social status. We have now come to recognize technological literacy “as a part of basic literacy” (61). This type of literacy, therefore, must become part of the education curriculum, and this article gives guidelines for such curricula. Although this article does not deal directly with video games, it can be argued that video games can be used in curricula to teach technological literacy.
