James,
Your project is so interesting! I have never thought about games as they pertain to mortality before. This is such a cool angle to take with gaming and I think you do an excellent job. I think incorporating graphics from the games is important to the project because it is transmedial, so it’s good that you’ve done that. Are you going to present your final project as a google doc? What other plans do you have for the structure of your paper? Maybe you can link to certain YouTube gameplay situations from the games? Just some thoughts. Keep up the good work! Can’t wait to see the finished project!
Dude this is awesome. I love the argument you’re making and how you’re going about making it. You’re working quotes in really nicely while still having plenty of room for your own original thought. I also really appreciate and agree with your choice to use Fallout 3 as one of your examples, such a perfect game for this project (and I’m sure I’d feel the exact same about Vampires if I played it, but alaaaaaas). The pictures you work in throughout your writing are great too, and the way you’ve inserted and structured them is fucking perfect — it honestly looks like a gaming magazine (GONE SCHOLARLY!!! MUST WATCH ^^^^ CLICK THIS LINK ^^^^)
Aaaand kill me I hit post by accident. I wanted to say one more thing: My only advice for you is to make sure you go back through and closely read your writing to check for any mechanical errors. I’m sure this is something you were already going to do, and I’m sure you’re just in writing-mode right now, but I felt like I needed to suggest it anyway just in case. Great job James!
