You have touched on a lot of trends that I’ve noticed but never really thought about, such as region specific Monopoly games and in-game advertisement. You also have seamlessly intertwined the material from the class, which I can attest is sometimes a struggle. I hope you write more about Fisher-Price, as it has one of the strongest holds on the gaming industry, and it is a company that I know very little about. Great job.

I really like the concept for your project! It looks like it’s coming along nicely! I definitely think it’s fitting to delve into the design and marketing behind games because they definitely are the driving force for the success of a lot of games. Design and marketing are important aspects of the rhetoric of video games that maybe we didn’t touch on a lot in class. I also like that you’re including board games in your project, like Monopoly. I like how you tie in the concepts from your own life to give it a personal touch when you mention your home town. I will be interested to see how the rest of your project develops! Great work!
