With multiple outlets of entertainment and possibilities of outlets for advertising, there is definitely some space for research surrounding this. I think one point of research that could be added to your project is the occurrence of similar games being released at similar times but one game performing much better in sales than the other. I think at least one reason for this has to do with marketing and their respective games. Something to look into, good luck with the rest of your project!
